About Me
Jan 2020

Developed an interest for technology at an early age and assembled his first working computer, picked up his first digital camera and also found an appreciation in audiophile gear all at 14 while being involved in live audio and visual production early in school. Enrolled in the school of Business for a year but subsequently switched to Film & Media to pursue interests and to combine them into something relevant.

Enjoy creating both still and moving images as a form of creative expression, tinkering with custom keyboards, simple home projects and soldering work. Deep appreciation for high quality music and audio.

Changes in the market made it difficult to do just one thing and thus took a year off to improve. Built a home server with spare and used parts for storage and hosting applications such as Bitwarden, PhotoPrism, Nextcloud, Owncast, Ghost and other tools. Learnt how to use Linux as a secondary machine, understanding SSH, DNS, NGINX and domain hosting, exposing applications and sites to the web and how to access it with the ease of using Cloudflare. Making use of all the different tools like MariaDB for MySQL and Authelia to secure personal use sites as well as gaining a deeper understanding of command line usage and how interconnected and dependent everything is in a live environment.

My current objective is to expand existing skillset and knowledge due to changes in the market, branching out from freelance filmmaking, media and live events into other related fields as well as to enhance understanding and learn about related hardware and software outside of a sandboxed environment. At the same time, keeping up with filmmaking and the creative market with it's growth and advancements in technology, workflow and ever expanding horizons.
