Japan on Film - Togakushi Main Shrine [Agfa Vista 200]
Back to a film stock that I haven't shot for about 10 years. I think it worked well given that the light was fading fast and it was mostly white around.
I found three cedar trees that were joined together at the base. And shortly after this I learnt that there was no public bus to the main shrine and so began a 20 minute walk on the road since there was no real walking path. Thankfully I had snow spikes and a full belly after lunch so I just braved the cold and started walking without giving it too much thought.

After what felt like forever, I finally arrived at the Cedar Promenade. You could feel the presence of the cedar trees as you walk past all of them to the upper shrine.
I walked at double speed trying to get there before I lost more light as it was getting late.

If you're lucky, or unlucky(?), and fast enough, you'll see snow falling off the trees and it's a beautiful sight. I reacted fast enough during the time when snow fell from the branches and am glad I managed to capture them.

The little details that you might miss while walking around. Remember not to just look up but down and around. The light was fading fast but it still had plenty to give. Could not ask for a better time to be there.

And if you're even luckier, you'd get snow falling on you. Not sure if snow falling on you at a shrine is good or bad but I'll take it (and capture it!)
