Japan on Film - Mt Takao [Kodak Ultramax 400]

Decided to go to Mt Takao, ending off the year how I started it, up on this mountain during the first sunrise of the year. It was close to noon by the time I got there so I had better start climbing! Slopes were my worst nightmare and there were plenty of it.

Being in and around nature feels great as a city dweller because we don't have nature of this scale at home.

There's a temple midway and I found the heart of autumn.

And after an exhausting climb, you'll be rewarded with a view of Mt Fuji (on a good day). Rest a while and even have lunch or a post climb snack while enjoying this view. One of the many reasons to hike.

Take it slow, enjoy the sights, sounds and smells. These next few were taken on the Alum.

I tried to take a photo of the two ladies sitting across from me, having their post climb snack, and they looked like sisters to me, just enjoying their afternoon out together. It was calming and relaxing just being there.
