Japan on Film - Togakushi [Lucky Color 200]
I think it continued to snow during the night and felt very fortunate that it stayed cold enough for snow to stick on the one sunny day that I visited the Togakushi Shrine area. There are many shrines along this route. It was quiet and peaceful, with barely any people around at this part of the trail.

The towering cedar trees brought on a certain stillness and presence to the atmosphere around the shrines. The walk along the path looked easy at first but anyone that has walked along snowy paths will know that it is more tiring than it looks. Plus the fact that there was no one around and all I could here was my own breathing and trying to look out and listen for bears or any dangerous animals, thankfully there were none.
I got further up the trail and to another temple on the trail. I found a "couple" cedar tree behind one of the shrines and they were joined together at the base.
